Complete SALOK MAHALLA 9 (NAUVAN) | Read along with Bhai Harjinder Singh...

This is sheer Bliss!!!!!!!!!!!.....Ultimate truth of life....Listen to it without distraction and you get the gist of life, the human form we have got...The absolute truth of life told beautifully and simply,if one were to follow it life would be bliss.....complete....noteworthy......and accomplished.Wherever the word Nanak has been used,it is in context as a Narrator or as a disciple of the Almighty. The beauty of Sikh Gurbani lies in the fact that nowhere have the Guru"s claimed to be God...always they have acclaimed themselves as messanger of God ,the disciples of the Almighty. They have always propagated
that there is one God,The Almighty........and only he is to be worshipped as God not them.....this humility is the crux of the Sikhi religion along with Good of the World...everyone...Hence our daily prayer , Nanak, Naam chardee kalaa tere bhaanay sarbat da bhalaa......."Nanak, with Naam comes Chardi Kala and with your blessings, peace for everyone.

To put this in very concise and clear language, the term invokes the Sikh to request, prays and asks the Almighty for the well-being of all of humanity, prosperity for everyone in the worldwide community, global peace for the entire planet.

A Sikh selflessly prays daily for "all to prosper"'. This gesture comes from the clear and pure teaching of Gurbani (Sri Guru Granth Sahib) and forms the Gurmat code of conduct. Gurbani tells us that there are "no others", "there is only One". The same "One God resides within all". We are "all the children of that One God". As the potter makes pots of different forms and colors from the same basic clay; and as the goldsmith moulds jewellery of various types, colors and shapes from the same single homogeneous material, gold; similarly, we are all born of the same One Light: "There is no difference".

Sing the Praise of the One, the Immaculate Lord; He is contained within all. — Guru Granth Sahib, page 706, line 30456

Ek bhagat bhagwaan je prani ke naahain mann
Jaise sookar swaan ,Nanak, maano taahain mann
--
That person who does not feel devotion for god in his mind
Oh Nanak, know that his body is like that of a pig or dog.

Ram gayo ravan gayo jaa kou bu privaar
Kaho nanak thirr kich nahin supne jyoon sansar

Ramchander passed away and so did Ravan , even though he had a lot of relatives
Says Nanak, nothing lasts for ever, the world is like a dream

Chinta taankee kijiye je anhonee hoyae
Eh maarg sansar kou Nanak thir nahin koyae

People become anxious when something unexpected happens
That is the way of the world Oh,Nanak, nothing is stable or permanent

Jo upjeyo sou binas hai paro aaj ke kaal
Nanak har gunn gayae lai chaadh sagal janjaal

Whatever has been created shall be destroyed, everyone shall perish, today or tommorow..
